Is It The Valve Or Is It The Cylinder Whichever, It S Costing You A Lot Of Money?

Posted by Glenna June 13, 2010  |  Comments (12)

Reducing air leaks in your plant can save thousands of dollars annually. Compressed air is one of the most costly forms of energy you can use in your plant, of course, it s one of the most versatile, fast and strong too. When it s quiet time in the plant, wander around the machinery and listen. You will often hear the gentle or perhaps not so gentle hissing of air escaping from the exhaust port of your air valves. The sound of compressed air chewing up your dollars as it wafts to atmosphere can be muted if your air valves have mufflers in the exhaust ports, but nevertheless, it can be heard. Also, there are commercially available ultra-sonic compressed air leak detectors on the market. If your plant doesn t have a quiet time , which would enable you to actually hear the leaks yourself, investing in an ultrasonic leak detector can bring substantial payback in energy savings. Usually you ll have one air valve connected to one air cylinder. Usually that cylinder will be double acting - which means that it will have two air lines running to it, and as the air valve...

Vfw: Remember 9 11

Posted by Von May 5, 2010  |  Comments (2)

Americans must never forget how mad we got as a nation that Tuesday morning of Sept. We got mad when cowards killed 3,000 innocent men, women and children in New York City, the Pentagon, and in a Pennsylvania field. We got mad when we learned that our assailants were the product of a radical, ultra-conservative mixture of religious and political ideology that hates democracy, hates a free economy, hates tolerance, and hates every freedom America represents. And we got mad when we learned that this enemy-an enemy that wears no uniform, flies no flag, owns no territory, and swears allegiance to no country-had the audacity, cunning and resources to attack the United States of America. America got mad as hell five years ago. The problem today is that some of us forgot that we re still supposed to be mad. As the national commander of the largest organization of combat veterans in the country, the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. will never forget 9 11 and we will never waiver in our support of the 2.2 million brave American servicemen and women and their families...

Balance conditioning used to be considered exercise training for athletic activities. As we get older, balance and stability become important to prevent injuries from sports, recreational activities, weekend warriors and simply falling. This is why we incorporate balance and stability training in most workouts. The benefits of standing on one leg, on a disk, wobble board or sitting on a ball makes a difference in the proprioceptors stabilizers of the muscles. The ankle, knee, hip, shoulder joints and core become stronger from stability training giving the body more overall balance and conditioning. Under stress, it trains the muscles, cartilage and ligaments which will make the joint stronger with proper muscle fiber recruitment. Balance and stability is also used in many sports like skiing, snowboarding, rollerblading and activities of daily living. Balance training can be done anywhere - standing on one foot, moving your arms, and for advanced balance training try closing your eyes. Posted by Chauncey December 2, 2009  |  Comments (1)

You ve heard all the warnings before. There s no such thing as get rich quick. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If there s a business that requires no work, I haven t found it. If you aren t very curious, don t think very hard, and try your best not to look around you, it s pretty easy to accept those bits of conventional wisdom as fact. You ll hear government pamphlets tout them since when did career government people know anything about getting rich . You ll hear media people warn you to stay away and in case you forgot, media folks have spent their lives as corporate employees . I sometimes think the only reason they tell us we can t get rich is they want us all to keep working our jobs at low pay. But enough of that. It s easy to see people all around you who are doing VERY well financially, not working too hard at it, and enjoying life tremendously: - The investor who keeps putting money in stocks and soon has hundreds of thousands of dollars in the bank. - The person who buys houses, fixes them up, rents them out, then sells them at a big...

For years, many people have argued that forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, including Crohn s Disease, is caused by emotional stress, tension, and anxiety; this, however, is completely inaccurate. A Simple Story

Posted by Pamela May 16, 2009  |  Comments (19)

This is one of my favourite Personal Development stories. I like it so much because of its simplicity and the concept of the story always makes me laugh and it stops me taking myself so seriously. That is something we could all definitely do with from time to time. The story begins with a traveller in India who comes across an old Sage. The man asks the sage, Why is it that I am always so stressed in my life. It just seems as though my life is one never-ending problem with countless to-do lists and never a moments peace. I am so exasperated with it all and I really can t find a solution. The sage then replied in a calm all-knowing manner, There is a very simple solution to this problem. Basically, if you do have control over a situation then you can control it and so you have nothing to worry about. On the other hand if you do not have control over a certain situation then you can not control it and so do not need to worry about it. So, basically you have no problems. The traveller almost burst out laughing at the simplicity of the fable because he truly...
